Description

What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of north central and northwest Missouri, including the following areas, in north central Missouri, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan. In northwest Missouri, Andrew, Atchison, De Kalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth.
When: Through Tuesday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
Additional Details: - Excessive rainfall has occurred in portions of the watch area Saturday evening and night. Additional rounds of storms are expected Sunday night and Monday night, with locally heavy rainfall possible once again. With saturated soils in many areas, any additional heavy rainfall may quickly lead to excess runoff and flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
