Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Missouri Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County.
: The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Missouri Marmaton River near Nevada affecting Vernon County. For the Little Osage Riverincluding Fulton, HortonMinor flooding is forecast. For the Marmaton Riverincluding Fort Scott, NevadaMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Little Osage River near Horton.
When: Until early Tuesday morning.
Impacts: At 45.0 feet, moderate flooding occurs at the gage site. Low lying areas along Route D near Stotesbury flood.
Additional Details: - At 6:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 44.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:45 PM CDT Saturday was 44.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage Monday evening and continue falling to 29.0 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 41.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Frost Advisory

Description

What: Temperatures as low as 31 will result in frost formation. Most areas will be in the mid to upper 30s.
Where: Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central, south central, southwest, and west central Missouri.
When: From 3 AM to 9 AM CDT Sunday.
Impacts: Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Recommended Action

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
