Winter Storm Watch

Description

What: For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy mixed precipitation. Additional snow and sleet accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulations up to two tenths, highest amounts away from the lakeshore. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, significant icing possible. Total ice accumulations around one quarter of an inch possible, greatest away from the lakeshore.
Where: Menominee County.
When: For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Friday night through Saturday morning.
Impacts: Power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Additional Details: Accumulating sleet will be difficult to remove.
