The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Michigan Rifle River near Sterling affecting Arenac County. For the Rifle Riverincluding SterlingMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Rifle River near Sterling.
When: Until early Monday afternoon.
Impacts: At 6.0 feet, High water begins to impact canoe livery at River View Campground.
Additional Details: - At 8:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 7.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Friday was 7.6 feet. - ForecastThe river will fall to 6.8 feet early tomorrow afternoonthen remain steady through Sunday.
