Areas of dense fog are developing this afternoon across Southern Michigan, particularly along the I-94 corridor. Pockets of visibilities of a quarter mile or less are being observed. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities and allow for extra travel time this afternoon. Some improvement is likely by mid to late afternoon, however visibilities of 2 miles or less are likely to persist into the evening.
