What: Heavy lake effect snow expected. In Cass, MI, Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches are likely for areas west of Cassopolis and near the Berrien-Cass County line. Areas east will see lesser amounts of 2 to 5 inches. In Marshall, IN, snow totals of 4 to 8 inches are likely, with the highest amounts north of US 30. N-NW Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause blowing and drifting of snow, especially for E-W oriented roads.

When: Until 1 PM EST Thursday.
Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening.
Additional Details: This evening and Thursday morning commutes will see the greatest impacts to travel.
