Description

At 432 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Varnado, or near Bogalusa, moving northeast at 5 mph.
Hazard: Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include Bogalusa, Varnado, Crossroads, and Angie.

Recommended Action

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Description

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire. However, small hail is still possible with this thunderstorm.
