Description

What: Heat index values between 100 to 105 expected.
Where: Portions of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
When: From noon today to 7 PM CDT Tuesday.
Impacts: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Additional Details: Higher humidity levels combined with hot temperatures on Tuesday may cause heat index values to near 110 degrees.

Recommended Action

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
