Description
A swath of light to moderate snow will continue to move east- southeast across south-central and eastern Kentucky this afternoon. Minor snow accumulation of dry, fluffy snow is expected, with up to around 1 inch of snow expected south of the Cumberland Parkway. Expect this band of light snow to quickly coat previously plowed/treated roads once again, which may lead to slick spots. Motorists traveling this evening should slow down and use extra caution while traveling.

What: Very cold wind chills as low as 12 below expected.
Where: Portions of south central Indiana and central Kentucky.
When: From 10 PM EST /9 PM CST/ this evening to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Saturday.
Impacts: The cold wind chills as low as 12 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Recommended Action

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
