Description

* WHAT...Excessive runoff from Saturday night's very heavy rainfallcontinues to cause flooding problems with some roads still closedin the warned area.* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the followingcounties, Allen, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due toexcess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings areinundated with water and may not be passable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 640 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported on-goingflooding problems in the warned area.- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall isexpected.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt, YatesCenter, Erie, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer,Altoona, Toronto, Buffalo, Neosho Falls, Galesburg, Savonburgand Elsmore.
