Critical Fire Weather Conditions Possible Sunday and Monday .A combination of warm temperatures, low humidity and wind gusts of 25-30 mph is forecast to lead to critical fire weather conditions Sunday. The strongest winds are forecast during the mid to late afternoon hours. There is some question in the duration of the winds however keeping confidence just low enough to preclude from upgrading to a Red Flag Warning currently. For Monday the strongest winds are currently forecast to be during the mid to late afternoon across Wichita and Greeley counties.
Affected Area: Fire Weather Zones 013 Sherman, 014 Thomas, 027 Wallace, 028 Logan, 253 Kit Carson and 254 Cheyenne CO.
Timing: From Sunday morning through Sunday evening.
Winds: Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Relative Humidity: As low as 12 percent.
Impacts: Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
