SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 259 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 3 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN IOWA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST IOWA FREMONT HARRISON MILLS MONTGOMERY PAGE POTTAWATTAMIE SHELBY IN WEST CENTRAL IOWA MONONA IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA BURT DOUGLAS SARPY WASHINGTON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BELLEVUE, BLAIR, CLARINDA, COUNCIL BLUFFS, DECATUR, DUNLAP, FARRAGUT, GLENWOOD, HAMBURG, HARLAN, LA VISTA, LOGAN, LYONS, MAPLETON, MISSOURI VALLEY, OAKLAND, OMAHA, ONAWA, PAPILLION, RED OAK, SHENANDOAH, SIDNEY, TABOR, TEKAMAH, AND WOODBINE.

At 208 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles south of Fort Calhoun, or 8 miles east of Bennington, moving east at 15 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe storm will be near Northern Omaha and Florence around 215 AM CDT. Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include Crescent. This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 61 and 66.
