Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa Counties. Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County. Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.
: The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Iowa River at Marengo.
When: Until Monday morning.
Impacts: At 15.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the levee surrounding Marengo. Water affects low lying agricultural land along the river
Additional Details: - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Recent ActivityThe river is cresting. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 10.4 feet Saturday, April 18. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Recommended Action

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The next statement will be issued by Sunday evening at 915 PM CDT.
