Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine Counties. Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
When: Until Wednesday, April 15.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water affects businesses along the river near Calamus.
Additional Details: - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet. - Recent ActivityThe river continues to slowly rise. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.1 feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday, April 15. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Recommended Action

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 830 PM CDT.
