The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in IndianaOhio Tippecanoe River near Ora affecting Pulaski County. Eel River at North Manchester affecting Wabash, Cass IN, Miami, Kosciusko and Whitley Counties. Saint Joseph River Ohio below Montpelier affecting Williams County. Saint Joseph River Ohio near Newville affecting De Kalb, Defiance and Allen IN Counties. For the Tippecanoe Riverincluding Ora, Winamac, Norway Dam Minor flooding is forecast. For the Eel Riverincluding North ManchesterMinor flooding is forecast. For the Saint Joseph River Ohioincluding Montpelier, Newville, St. Joe River Ft. WayneModerate flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Eel River at North Manchester.
When: From Thursday evening to early Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 11.0 feet, The river is at flood stage, minor agricultural flooding occurs.
Additional Details: - At 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 6.1 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 11.9 feet Friday morning. What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Pulaski, Wabash, Wells, White and Whitley and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, Allen OH, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert.
When: Through Thursday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
Additional Details: - Chances for heavy rain increase today and tonight and will bring the threat of flooding to the watch area. Uncertainty exists on where the heaviest rain may occur. Remain weather aware and be prepared for flooding later today and tonight. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
