Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Detailed river forecasts and additional information can be found at www.weather.gov/iwx under Rivers and Lakes. The next statement will be issued late tonight at 515 AM EDT.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, De Kalb, Eastern St. Joseph IN, Elkhart, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Lagrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Northern Kosciusko, Northern La Porte, Pulaski, Southern Kosciusko, Southern La Porte, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, Western St. Joseph IN, White and Whitley, southwest Michigan, including the following areas, Branch, Cass MI, Hillsdale, Northern Berrien, Southern Berrien and St. Joseph MI, and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, Allen OH, Defiance, Fulton OH, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Williams.
When: Until 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ Thursday.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
Additional Details: - Chances for heavy rain increase today and tonight and will bring the threat of flooding to the watch area. Uncertainty exists on where the eaviest rain may occur. Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
