Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in IndianaIllinoi
S: Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton. .The last of lowland flooding continues along a short portion of the Wabash River in western Indiana, affecting the Hutsonville and Riverton areas. Flooding is expected to end there on Monday. Flooding ended at Terre Haute and Montezuma earlier today. The crest as of late Saturday evening was between Vincennes and Mount Carmel. The river level is expected to continue falling through at least Monday night. Rain later in the week may bring new rises to central and southern Indiana waterways.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Riverton.
When: Until early Tuesday morning.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is in progress. High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to most river cabins is by boat only. Levees begin to protect farmland. Extensive flooding of Leaverton Park occurs in Palestine, Illinois.
