: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana Kankakee River at Dunns Bridge affecting Jasper and Porter Counties. For the Des Plaines Riverincluding Russell, Gurnee, LincolnshireMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
Where: Kankakee River from Near I-65 and De Motte downstream to IL/IN state line, including the Shelby gauge.
When: From this afternoon until further notice.
Impacts: At 11.5 feet, Low-lying residences are threatened along Bluegrass Road east of Sumava Resorts and along Westwood Drive and Island Boulevard near Shelby.
Additional Details: - At 10:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.4 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 11.4 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
