Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deathsoccur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another routeover higher ground.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river andlocation in Indiana...Wabash River at Montezuma..Rainfall of one inch or more earlier this week brought theWabash River at Montezuma back into minor flood. After crestingthree tenths of a foot above flood stage, the crest has moveddownstream and flooding is expected to end before daybreak.Downstream at Hutsonville and Riverton, the river is rising and willcrest near flood stage Saturday night.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands alongthe right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge ofMontezuma begin to flood.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 14.2 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 8:45 PM EDT Friday was 14.3 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stagejust after midnight tonight and continue falling and remainbelow flood stage.- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
