Description

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana Wabash River at Montezuma. Wabash River at Lafayette. Wabash River at Covington. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin over the next couple of days that could hang around through much of next week.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Covington.
When: From Thursday evening to Tuesday morning.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, A few county roads begin to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. The first cottage upstream from U.S. 136 bridge may become isolated by high water.
Additional Details: - At 1:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 20.1 feet early Saturday morning. Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana Wabash River at Lafayette. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin that could hang around through much of next week.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Lafayette.
When: From this morning to early Monday afternoon.
Impacts: At 16.0 feet, Lowland flooding is in progress. Flood waters near SR 225 between Old SR 25 and Battleground. Warren CR 350 N near Black Rock Preserve and Tippecanoe CR 950 W in the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen Tract area may be impassable. Fort Ouiatenon grounds begin to flood. Flooding at the Grandville Public Access site.
Additional Details: - At 7:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.3 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM EDT Thursday was 12.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.1 feet tomorrow evening. Description

What: South winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected.
Where: All of Central Indiana
When: From 11 AM this morning to 7 PM EDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
