Description

What: Sustained southerly winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
Where: Central Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake IL, and Northern Cook Counties.
When: From 1 PM this afternoon to 9 PM CDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on west to east oriented roadways.
