THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 89 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS ADAMS BROWN PIKE IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI KNOX LEWIS MARION MONROE RALLS SHELBY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF HANNIBAL, MOUNT STERLING, PITTSFIELD, AND QUINCY.

Description

What: South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
Where: Portions of south central, southwest, and west central Illinois and central, east central, northeast, and southeast Missouri.
When: Until 7 PM CDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
