Description
What: West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. A few gusts to 55 mph possible.
Where: Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
When: From 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Sunday to 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Monday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Recommended Action
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially on north to south roads and for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects, including holiday decorations.
