Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Cook and Lake IL Counties. Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County. Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted to continue.
Where: Des Plaines River from Palatine Road in Prospect Heights downstream to Irving Park Road in Chicago, including the Des Plaines gauge.
When: Until early Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 18.5 feet, Big Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8 feet on 03/12/2021.Bend Road threatened in Des Plaines.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.8 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to continue gradually falling, and may fall below Flood stage by Friday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
