A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as forecast precipitation 24 hours into the future. Changes to the rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may cause changes to these river forecasts. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake IL and Cook Counties. Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County. Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. For the Des Plaines Riverincluding Russell, Gurnee, Lincolnshire, Des Plaine
S: Moderate flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Des Plaines River from Palatine Road in Prospect Heights downstream to Irving Park Road in Chicago, including the Des Plaines gauge.
When: Until Tuesday evening.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Central Road and Golf Road are threatened in Des Plaines.

Description

What: Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
Where: Central Cook, Eastern Will, and Northern Will Counties.
When: Until 10 AM CDT Friday.
Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Recommended Action

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
