Secure or bring inside loose outdoor objects before the high windsbegin. During the high winds, avoid being outside in forested areasor around trees, branches, and powerlines. Use caution if you mustdrive, and keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel. Drivers ofhigh profile vehicles should consider delaying travel until the highwinds subside. Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution sincestrong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft.

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.* WHERE...Fort Hall, St. Anthony, Pocatello,American Falls, Idaho Falls, Shelley, Craters of the Moon,Blackfoot, INL, Rexburg, and Mud Lake* WHEN...From noon today to 8 PM MDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult, especially for high profilevehicles. Isolated damage to trees, powerlines, signs, andoutbuildings is expected, along with isolated power outages. Looseoutdoor objects will be blown around. Areas of blowing dust mayreduce visibilities. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakeswill create hazardous conditions for small craft.
