Description

What: Very cold wind chills as low as 17 expected.
Where: Portions of southeast Alabama, Big Bend and Panhandle Florida, and south central and southwest Georgia.
When: From 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ to 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Monday.
Impacts: Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Recommended Action

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
