Critically low humidity with gusty winds will produce a High Fire Danger this afternoon and evening, and again on Monday The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM to 7 PM EST Monday. The Fire Weather Watch for today is no longer in effect.
Affected Area: Okeechobee, Indian River, St Lucie, & Martin counties.
Wind: Northwest winds around 15 mph with gusts 20 to 25 mph on Monday.
Humidity: 20 to 30 percent Monday.
Impacts: any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
