Wind Advisory
What: For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 8 above expected. For the Freeze Warning, hard freezing temperatures as low as 22 expected.
Where: Brevard, Volusia, Orange, Lake, Seminole, Osceola, Okeechobee, Indian River, St Lucie, and Martin Counties.
When: For the Wind Advisory, from 3 PM Saturday to 7 AM EST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Warning and Freeze Warning, from 7 PM Saturday to 1 PM EST Sunday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Hard freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
