Description

What: Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches above 4500 feet, with up to 18 inches at the highest peaks. Minor snowfall accumulations up to 1 to 3 inches down to 4000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
Where: West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park above 4500 feet.
When: Until 11 PM PDT this evening.
Impacts: Travel could be very difficult.
Additional Details: Snow levels 4000-5000 feet, locally down to around 3500 feet in heavier convective showers. Heaviest snowfall expected through this evening, with snowfall rates up to 1+ inch per hour.
