Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, orstay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadlyin such conditions, stay off the rocks.

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due toelevated surf of 6 to 9 feet expected, highest on west andnorthwest facing beaches.* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa BarbaraCounty Central Coast Beaches.* WHEN...Through Monday evening.* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Ripcurrents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves canwash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boatsnearshore.
