The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Dust Storm Warning for Central Inyo County in south central California Until 500 PM PDT. At 306 PM PDT, a dust channel was 16 miles east of Scottys Castle, or 18 miles west of Beatty, moving south at 25 mph.
Hazard: Near zero visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph.

Impact: Dangerous life-threatening travel. Highway 190, Scottys Castle Road and Daylight Pass Road will all be impacted by this dust storm. Locations impacted include Stovepipe Wells, Furnace Creek, Mesquite Springs Campground, Scottys Castle, and Texas Springs Campground.

Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!
