THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 286 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ARKANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS BENTON CARROLL MADISON WASHINGTON AR IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 9 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHEROKEE IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ADAIR CRAIG DELAWARE MAYES NOWATA OTTAWA ROGERS WASHINGTON OK THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BARTLESVILLE, BENTONVILLE, BERRYVILLE, CLAREMORE, EUREKA SPRINGS, FAYETTEVILLE, GROVE, HUNTSVILLE, JAY, MIAMI, NOWATA, PRYOR, ROGERS, SPRINGDALE, STILWELL, TAHLEQUAH, AND VINITA.

Flood Watch

Description

What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of northwest Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton and Carroll and northeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, Craig, Delaware, Mayes and Ottawa.
When: Through Monday afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms overnight will result in heavy rainfall with localized totals of 4 to 6 inches possible in spots. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
