Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deathsoccur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another routeover higher ground.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river inArkansas...Cache River Near Patterson affecting Jackson and WoodruffCounties.For the Cache River...including Patterson...Minor flooding isforecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Cache River near Patterson.* WHEN...From this morning to early Tuesday afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Low swampy timberland along the riverbegins to flood.At 9.0 feet, Low swampy timberland along the river begins toflood. Flood gates should be closed and equipment moved out of thelow grounds along the river and tributaries.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 5:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.4 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.5feet this morning.
