SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 373 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ARKANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS BENTON CARROLL CRAWFORD MADISON WASHINGTON AR IN WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS FRANKLIN SEBASTIAN IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHEROKEE SEQUOYAH IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ADAIR DELAWARE MAYES IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA LE FLORE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BENTONVILLE, BERRYVILLE, CHARLESTON, EUREKA SPRINGS, FAYETTEVILLE, FORT SMITH, GROVE, HUNTSVILLE, JAY, OZARK, POTEAU, PRYOR, ROGERS, SALLISAW, SPRINGDALE, STILWELL, TAHLEQUAH, AND VAN BUREN.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Central and Southern Franklin, Madison, North and Central Sebastian, Northern Crawford, Northern Franklin, Southern Crawford, Southern Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Central Le Flore, Central and Southern Sequoyah, Cherokee, Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Northern Le Flore, Northern Sequoyah, Ottawa and Southern Le Flore.
When: Through Monday afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches and locally higher amounts greater than 4 inches are possible through Monday afternoon across the watch area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northwest Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll and Madison.
When: Until 715 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 401 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Springdale Roger
