A developing low pressure system has spread an area of freezing rain across portions of southeastern Saskatchewan into southwestern Manitoba this morning.

The freezing rain threat will diminish later this morning.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
