Winter storm on tap

What: An accumulation of nearly 15 centimetres of snow followed by ice pellets and freezing rain.

When: Late Thursday evening to Friday

Where: Northern Abitibi, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Charlevoix and Lower St. Lawrence

Additional information:
The precipitation will start as snow and gradually change to ice pellets or freezing rain. An amount of 5 millimetres of freezing rain is possible.

Blowing snow will be possible in the snow, especially in the Saguenay region.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
