Description

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts. Locally heavy rain is also possible.

Showers are currently over the Pontiac and central Ontario regions heading east. Some of these showers could become thundery and give severe weather later this evening.

Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water.

Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
