Yellow Warning - Rainfall

Issued at Wed 3:43 PM Apr. 1
Issued by: Environment and Climate Change Canada
Description

Rain on tap

What: 25 to 35 millimetres of rain

When: Thursday evening to Friday

Where: Témiscamingue, La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve, Mont-Laurier

Additional information:
The precipitation will probably start as snow on Thursday evening. The snow will change to freezing rain and then to rain in the late evening or during the night.

Rain and mild temperatures will lead to accelerated snowmelt, potentially raising water levels in some rivers.

A second low pressure system will bring more rain and mild temperatures over the Easter weekend. The cumulative effect of this week's precipitation amounts will have more impacts on rivers.
