Special Weather Statement
Winter storm on tap.
What:
- Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres.
- Northeasterly winds between 70 and 90 kilometres per hour
- Blowing snow
When: From Sunday afternoon to Monday evening
Where: Eastern Quebec.
Additional information:
An intense low pressure system will reach the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Monday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are generally expected. Accumulations may reach 35 centimetres over the Gaspé Peninsula and Anticosti Island.
Travel may be difficult due to rapidly accumulating snow and blowing snow.
