Winter storm on tap

What: Snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres followed by ice pellets and freezing rain.

When: Late Thursday evening to overnight Friday night.

Where: Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Charlevoix and the Lower St. Lawrence

Additional information:
Precipitation will start as snow and gradually change over to ice pellets or freezing rain. Freezing rain amounts of 5 millimetres are possible.

Blowing snow will also be possible with the snow, especially in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
