Yellow Warning - Winter Storm
Winter storm.
What: Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres followed by ice pellets and freezing rain.
When: Until overnight Friday night.
Where: Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Charlevoix and Lower St. Lawrence.
Additional information:
Precipitation will begin as snow and gradually change to ice pellets and freezing rain. Freezing rain amounts of 5 millimetres are possible. Moderate to strong winds will produce local blowing snow, especially in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.
A second low pressure system will once again give significant snowfall amounts over these areas on Sunday. This system may also produce a mixed bag of precipitation, including a period of freezing rain.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
