Significant freezing rain expected Sunday afternoon into early Monday morning. What: Freezing rain leading to icy surfaces. Ice accretion or build-up of 5 to 15 mm on some surfaces. When: Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Additional information: Freezing rain is expected to begin late Sunday afternoon and continue overnight. The freezing rain may briefly change over to rain Monday morning as temperatures are expected to climb to just above the freezing mark. ### Roads and walkways may become icy and slippery. Prolonged utility outages are possible. Significant damage to property, including some buildings and trees, is possible due to the weight of ice. Description

Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

What:
Total rain and freezing rain amounts 15 to 30 mm.

When:
Beginning Sunday afternoon and ending early Monday morning.

Additional information:
Freezing rain will begin Sunday afternoon, transitioning over to rain Sunday night. Rain and freezing rain will be heavy at times through the afternoon and evening. The rain will ease early Monday morning.

If possible, clear storm drains of snow and ice.
