Description
Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected. What: Freezing rain with ice build-up of 2 to 3 mm. When: Beginning Thursday afternoon or early Thursday evening. Changing to rain Thursday night. Additional Information: A Colorado low will bring freezing rain to the area beginning Thursday afternoon or early Thursday evening for areas near the Quebec border. Freezing rain is expected to change over to rain Thursday night as temperatures rise above the zero degree mark. In addition to the ice-build up, localized flooding is possible due to the combination of heavy freezing rain and rain. Please refer to the rainfall warning for details. ### Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic. Local utility outages are possible. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Total rain and freezing rain amounts of 30 to 50 mm.

When:
Beginning Thursday afternoon or evening and ending Friday morning.

Additional Information:
The heaviest rain is expected to fall Thursday night, with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
