Description


Heavy rain and strong winds beginning late today.

Hazards:
Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm.
Wind gusts of 70 km/h.

Timing:
Beginning late this afternoon or this evening and continuing through Wednesday evening.

Discussion:
Heavy rain is expected to begin late today as a strong low pressure system moves into the area. The heavy rain will taper to light rain Wednesday afternoon before ending Wednesday evening. In addition, strong northerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop late today and then become westerly Wednesday afternoon. Winds will diminish Wednesday evening.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Utility outages may occur.
