Description

Snow squalls beginning tonight.

What:
Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm. Locally higher amounts are possible in the most persistent lake effect snow bands.
Near zero visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

When:
Developing tonight and lasting through Thursday afternoon.

Additional information:
Snowfall with up to 5 cm accumulation will pass through the region today. Snow squalls off lake Huron will develop after this snowfall tonight. The highest snowfall amounts are expected to be over Lambton county and western Middlesex county.

Northerly wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h will result in blowing snow and further reduce visibility.

Travel will likely be hazardous. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
