A low pressure system will bring a mix of precipitation to northwestern Ontario this weekend. The precipitation will begin as snow late this afternoon or early this evening. The snow may be heavy at times, reducing visibility and making travel hazardous. Sunday morning, the snow may become mixed with ice pellets or change over to freezing rain or freezing drizzle before ending Sunday night. This winter weather travel advisory may be replaced with a freezing drizzle advisory or a freezing rain warning on Sunday.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
