Yellow Watch - Winter Storm

Description

Hazardous winter conditions are possible.

A late season winter storm is poised to impact far northern Ontario.

What:
Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm.
Blowing snow.
Reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow.

When:
Friday afternoon into Sunday morning.

Discussion:
Snow, at times heavy, is expected to move into the areas Friday afternoon, and continue into Saturday afternoon. Snow combining with wind gusts of 70 km/h will result in blowing snow and very low visibilities. The snow and blowing snow are expected to taper off Sunday morning.
