A major winter storm is poised to impact portions of the Qikiqtaaluk regions, particularly the Melville peninsula, and southwestern Baffin Island.

Conditions will begin to worsen for the Baffin communities in the evening on Tuesday, and then the Melville peninsula on Wednesday morning.

Hazards from this winter storm may include severe wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h and potentially blizzard conditions.
