Orange Warning - Blizzard
Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and persistent visibility near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected.
Location: Clyde River.
Hazards: Near-zero visibilities in blizzard conditions. Strong northwest winds gusting up to 90 km/h. 20 to 30 cm of snow.
Timing: Beginning late Sunday and ending by midday Monday.
Remarks: An intense low pressure area moving up through Baffin Bay will bring intensifying snow and winds throughout the day on Sunday before blizzard conditions begin later this afternoon. Winds will gust up to 90 km/h this evening and overnight along with 20 to 30 cm of fresh snow. Blizzard conditions are expected to ease through Monday morning.
